Some of my fondest memories as a child were the Holidays my family had in September each year when we would stay with Ivan, Eileen and Ann in Garboldisham - we would travel up from Devon. Such great times, such a lovely kind family.
My early memories of Ivan was of him always working on the farm, his Onions in the shed, his rifle (my brother and I shot it once when no one was around), the apple trees, buying fish and chips from the van when we went to the Red Lion and saying "my Dear Boy".
He should be proud of the way he brought up Ann and lead his life - I will miss him.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
